The Northeast Renewable Diesel Working Group is a working group in New England that assesses the current and future demand for renewable diesel in heavy-duty on- and off-road applications, including agriculture, the ski industry and engage stakeholders to determine their fueling needs, capacity, training needs and cost effectiveness to transition to renewable diesel. The working group is a result of collaboration between several Clean Cities groups, primarily Vermont Clean Communities and Maine Clean Communities.

In response to stakeholder needs, Vermont Clean Communities and Maine Clean Communities hosted a series of renewable diesel webinars, bringing together national fuel distributors, Clean Cities and Communities coalition directors, fleet managers, policy experts, state agencies, and various regional stakeholders. Several new participants expressed interest in learning more about renewable diesel development in New England and exploring decarbonization strategies and emissions reductions for both on- and off-road diesel applications.

The NERD Working Group has developed a variety of resources to assist in your transition towards renewable diesel, particularly regarding the beginnings of your journey.
