Serving Vermont for 25 years
Vermont Clean Communities accelerates statewide access to clean, efficient transportation options and promotes equity through strong partnerships. Vermont Clean Communities has been a designated coalition in the US Department of Energy Clean Cities and Communities partnership since 2001.

“I love working directly with community members to better understand their transportation needs, particularly surrounding fresh food access. Working with this small, yet incredibly mighty team to create tangible change in our community gives me a lot of hope for a future where everyone can access the resources they need.”

Cate MacDonald
Transportation and Outreach Coordinator
Who are we?
Clean Cities and Communities (CC&C) is a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) partnership to advance clean transportation nationwide. More than 75 DOE-designated CC&C coalitions work locally in urban, suburban, and rural communities to strengthen the nation’s environment, energy security, and economic prosperity. As partners with DOE’s Vehicle Technologies Office (VTO), coalitions work to deploy affordable, efficient, and clean transportation fuels; energy efficient mobility systems; and other fuel-saving technologies and practices.
