Peggy O’Neill-Vivanco is the Coalition Director of Vermont Clean Communities, a US Department of Energy-designated coalition. She brings together stakeholders in the public and private sectors across Vermont to help fleets shift to affordable, efficient, and clean transportation fuels and technologies. Her work with stakeholders covers a wide range of topics including idle reduction technologies; electric lawn equipment; electric bicycles; transit options for rural and underserved areas; car sharing and other equitable transportation options.  

Peggy holds an MA from New York University. She is a year-round bike commuter, and advocates for safe transportation options for all. 

Lorelei started with the Coalition as Community Engagement Intern in 2024 and became Project Coordinator in 2025. She specializes in communications, marketing, and design, managing VTCC’s social media and organizing reports, data visualization, etc. Currently, Lorelei is working on several projects, including revamping our digital presence. She graduated from the University of Vermont in 2025 with a B.A. in English. Away from the Coalition, Lorelei enjoys reading mysteries, taking roadtrips to Montréal, and watching Formula 1.

Cate has been with the Coalition since 2023 and specializes in geography, food access, and systems thinking. Cate is currently working with VTCC to address transportation and food access challenges at the Intervale and Ethan Allen Homestead. She recently graduated from the University of Vermont where she studied Geography, Global Studies, and Food Systems. Cate is passionate about advocating for clean, accessible transportation and food access. When she’s not working, she can be found running, biking, and swimming around Vermont.
